The higher quality ball mill is a traditional material grinding device that has been developed for over 100 years. Ball mill is the main equipment for processing solid materials into grinding. Industries widely use it in mineral processing, metallurgy, chemical industry, cement, ceramics, construction, electric power, pharmaceuticals, defence industry and other sectors. Dry or wet grinding of various ores and other grindable materials.

Ball Mill Types
Ball mill commonly used in mineral processing are mainly lattice type and overflow type two kinds:Lattice type ball mill application:Lattice type belongs to the mandatory discharge, the grinding time of the material in the cylinder of the ball mill is relatively short, and the discharge size is relatively coarse, generally 0.2-0.3mm, more suitable for a section of the grinding operation. Application of overflow ball mill: overflow discharge mode passive, the material in the cylinder grinding time is relatively long, easy to produce the phenomenon of overgrinding, the discharge size is relatively fine, generally less than 0.2. mm, suitable for fine grinding, commonly used in concentrate regrinding stage.

Ball Mill Principle
The ball mill operates by feeding material through its hollow shaft into the rotating cylinder. A motor drives the cylinder, causing it to rotate at a certain speed. As the cylinder rotates, the material inside moves along with the grinding media (such as steel balls). This movement results from the combined action of gravity, centrifugal force, and friction. When the grinding media reach a certain height inside the rotating cylinder, their self-weight overcomes the centrifugal force, causing them to detach from the inner wall and fall or roll downward. When falling, the steel ball converts its gravitational potential energy into kinetic energy and eventually collides with the ore at a certain terminal velocity. The running trajectory of the ball mill is related to its running speed. We can divide the running speed into three running modes: high speed, normal, and low speed. Its states are centrifugal, throwing and dislodging respectively.
